During our meeting in Finland we made dishes typical for our minorities. We had a good time in the kitchen and when the dishes were served to the whole school the plates and trays went from full to empty in no time at all.

You can find the recipes here:

Scottish shortbread

Welsh cake

Pierogi

Bizochels

Runebergstårtor

Südtiroler Apfelstrudel

In my spare time I love going to the gym and play various sports such as rugby and badminton.  The gym is located at my School which is really convenient and means that I can go 5 times a week. The village where I live is very quiet and not very lively. There is a village community centre which hosts lots of activities for younger children and adults, however Teenagers and youth like to go out of the village to meet up with their friends.

Voice recordings

We've recorded one of Nelson Mandela's famous quotes so that you can hear what our minority languages sound like.

In English, the quote is:

"If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart."

And here are our versions:

Welsh
Gaelic
German-Italian
Finland-Swedish
Romansch
Kashubian
